What the score means
The number is the share of your sentences that read as machine-written to our detector. Language models write with an even rhythm: sentences of similar length, predictable connecting phrases, and word choices that are the statistically safe option almost every time. That pattern is what the score measures.
It is a signal about the writing, not a verdict about the writer. A high score on a paragraph you wrote yourself means that paragraph happens to read the way a model writes, which is common in formal academic prose. It is a reason to look at a sentence, never proof of anything.
What no AI checker can do
Plenty of tools will tell you they predict what Turnitin, GPTZero or Originality will say about your text. None of them can, and neither can this one. Every detector uses its own model, none publish it, and they routinely disagree with each other on the same paragraph.
What a checker is genuinely good for is a second opinion before you submit: it shows you which sentences read as machine-written so you can decide what to do about them. If you need the actual Turnitin number, the only honest way to get it is a real Turnitin report.

How long can the text be?
Up to 3,000 words in one scan. Longer text is trimmed to the first 3,000 words and the page tells you when that happens.
Do you store the text I check?
No. The text is processed in memory and discarded after the scan. We do not save it.
