A finished report is not just text. It has a cover page, numbered headings, a table of contents, figure captions, a table or two and a reference list in exactly the style your marker asked for. The writing in the middle is the only part that needs work, and it is the part that sits between everything else.
That is why pasting a Word document into a text humanizer goes wrong. You copy a section, paste it back, and the heading style drops, a citation loses its italics, or a paragraph lands one page break too early. Do that across a ten-page report and you spend longer repairing the document than you spent writing it.
What the Word Humanizer does
You upload one .docx file, up to 25 MB. It opens in the app next to the buttons, so you can read it before anything changes. You press Humanize and the sentences you have not protected are rewritten in place. When you are happy, you download the file. It is the same document with the same fonts, styles, page layout, tables and images; only the wording of the rewritten sentences is different.
The copy on your own computer is never touched. You get a new file back, so you can always compare the two.
See every sentence in your document
After Humanize, each sentence is coloured where it sits on the page: green reads as human, yellow is uncertain and red still reads as machine-written. That is the same colour scale as the text humanizer, applied to your real document instead of a pasted copy.
Then press Go Green! and only the red and yellow sentences are rewritten again, while the green ones stay exactly as they are. It repeats until the sentences turn green or it has done what it can. The full idea behind it is in rewrite only the sentences that sound AI-written.
You choose what stays untouched
Some parts of a document should never be rewritten, and the Word Humanizer asks you which ones before it starts. You can protect:
- the cover page
- headings and titles
- the table of contents
- references
- captions
- bullet points
- tables
The first five are ticked for you, because those are the parts people almost always want left alone. On top of that you can click any single paragraph to lock it, or click a protected one to unlock it. Locked text is never changed, on Humanize or on Go Green.
Your numbers stay exactly as written
A rewrite that turns "32%" into "about a third", or changes a course code or a year, is worse than no rewrite at all. So every rewritten sentence is checked against the original, and if any figure has changed the rewrite is thrown away and your sentence is kept as it was.
Go Green is free on a Word file
The first Humanize on a file uses one of your daily Word files. Go Green, and up to three more Humanize runs on that same file, cost nothing extra. You do not pay twice for the same document.
What it does not do
It does not promise you a detector result. No tool can honestly promise how a particular detector will score a particular document, and a .docx is no different from a pasted essay in that respect. What it changes is how your writing reads, sentence by sentence, and it shows you which sentences still read as machine-written.
It also does not restructure your argument, add sources or fix your citations. It rewrites sentences. The research and the thinking stay yours.

Which plans have it
The Word Humanizer is included with Standard and Premium. Standard allows 2 Word files a day of up to 5,000 words each. Premium allows 5 files a day of up to 30,000 words each. On Free and Basic the tool is visible in the sidebar but locked.
Want to see the rewriting first? Paste a paragraph into the free humanizer, which gives you 150 words a day with no card. And if you only want to know how your document reads right now, the free AI checker scores up to 300 words a day with no account at all. Working on slides instead? The PowerPoint Humanizer does the same job for a .pptx deck.
A word about your institution
If this document is for a class or an assessment, your school or university sets the rules on AI assistance, not us. Check the policy before you submit and follow it, including anything it asks you to disclose.
Questions people ask
Can I humanize a whole Word document at once?
Yes. Upload one .docx file up to 25 MB. It opens in the app, you press Humanize, and every sentence that is not protected is rewritten. You download the same file back with the same formatting.
Will it change my headings, references or cover page?
Not unless you let it. Before you start you tick the parts to protect: cover page, headings and titles, table of contents, references, captions, bullet points or tables. The first five are ticked for you, and you can click any paragraph to lock or unlock it. Locked text is never changed.
Does it change my numbers?
No. If a rewrite changes a figure, such as a course code, a percentage or a year, that rewrite is thrown away and your original sentence is kept.
Which plans include the Word Humanizer?
Standard and Premium. Standard allows 2 Word files a day of up to 5,000 words each, and Premium allows 5 files a day of up to 30,000 words each. On the Free and Basic plans the tool is visible but locked.
How long do you keep my file?
Two days. During that time you can refresh the page or come back later in the same browser and your document is still there. After two days it is deleted automatically.
